Really Tight Game Ended in a Shootout

One of the best hockey games I have seen in a long time. The Canucks got out to a 2-goal lead in the first period, but were shut down after that by Kings Goalie Jonathon Quick. The Kings did not give up and scored one goal in the 2nd period. The game was fast closing in the third period, when just with around 1 minute left Kings defenseman Slava Voynov slammed a shot past the Canuck goalie from the blue line. After a 5 minute overtime, the game was decided on a shootout. The last man for the Kings, Carter, shot the puck past the Canuck goalie and Quick defended against the last Vancouver shot. We screamed all night and the guys came through brilliantly! Go Kings, Go!

Better than what I hoped for

This event was spectacular in every way. The LA Kings make the Fans feel like we are an integral part of their team. The level of appreciation from the top down was all encompassing. The owners were sincerely thanked (which says something about them), the BEST speeches from the GM Dean Lombardi, the Coaches including the Fantastic Darryl Sutter (Big Applause), the hockey players Captain Dustin Brown, Assistant Captains Matt Greene and Anze Kopitar, MVP & Conn Smythe Trophy winner Justin Williams. All of the speeches were stunningly appropriate and inspiring! And course, a shout out to down to Earth LA Major Eric Garcetti, for starting the FUN early on.
